Twisted pair tester TST-200 (without batteries)
The TWT TST-200 cable tester is designed for installers of communication cables. The tester can test twisted pair cables (UTP and STP) with standard RJ-45, RJ-12, RJ-11 connectors, as well as coaxial cables with BNC connectors.
The tester is made as 2 modules - a transmitter and a receiver. By connecting the transmitter to one end of the cable and the receiver to the other, the most common cable faults can be identified:
- shorted wire pairs,
- open wire pairs,
- crossover pairs of wires,
- reversed wire pairs,
- relocated pairs of wires,
- split wire pairs.
A line continuity test is performed for coaxial cable.
The test results are displayed using indicators on both the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter has a test rate control.
Testing is performed for TIA 568, 10 Base-T, Token Ring, and AT&T258A standards.
The transmitter is powered by a 9V "Krona" battery.
The battery compartment of the receiver is for a spare battery as it receives power from the transmitter by the line.
Maximum length of the cable to be tested is 300 meters.
The device has a modern ergonomic design and light weight.
Package includes:
- Transmitter unit -1 piece,
- Receiver unit -1 piece,
- RJ-12 and RJ-11 socket lock – 2 pieces.
